Looking at purchasing a '67 short fleet

This truck was on eBaY several times, but didn't sell. I think the guy was wanting around $3900 for it (probably why it didn't sell ). I was thinking, if he still has it, maybe he will take less for it. Looks pretty solid overall, with the exception of a little body damage(comes with all new parts though, except bedside). I am no body man and lack welding skills, however, I may know some people that could do the rust repair for me. Do you guys think this would be worth it for me, and what would be a fair price for it?

Here's the truck

So the auction is over, did you win it, looks like a nice start to a project truck.

Re: Looking at purchasing a '67 short fleet

That`s a very nice truck to start with.I`d pay $3900 for it.A short fleet`67 CST or Custom,Panoramic window,283/PG,a/c,red on red?A fine example in "easy-resto" condition.Restored original, that truck would bring big bucks. It`s been brought to Ohio from Texas,so that cost effects the price.Any dry western truck brought back east is worth $1,000 more than where it came from.

Looks pretty good. Sure would make a cool truck finished! The AC is still all there...that's worth an extra $1,000 of a done SWB. The inside of the bed looks good, and that is hard to find.
I'd love to have it.

from what I know, the CST in those years are rare being all there. You don't find to many big back windows short wides in 67's until 68. That I agree would have been a deal. I have an 68 CST with a/c and I wouldn't take less than 4500 and mine is all primered.

No, I didn't. Thats just the old auction page I had saved. It was on there several times, but the reserve wasn't met. I was thinking about emailing him and offering him $3500, and see if he bites...hopefully it isn't sold yet

Never noticed that. I looked through his feedback and other auctions, and didn't see anything about the truck, so I assumed he still had it. He did email me back a little while ago, and said it was already sold...oh well
