Brakes are messed up
I have drum brakes and i have to put fluid in them every other day. It is leaking out of the driver's side rear wheel. My question is what do you think is the matter. And i dont know how to take off the drum so if anyone can help please do.

It sounds like a wear cylinder (easy replacement). If your truck is a C-10, just take of your rear wheel and the drum should come of with a little effort.

It's probably the wheel cylinder. Do you have full floating rear end(i.e. a big hub sticking out and 8 lug rims?). If yes you need to pull the axle then remove the hub from the spindle, then the drum will come off with the hub.

Once you unbolt them, they should just pull right out.

i have a dana 60, 8 lug, and i don't have to pull the axles to get the drums off...
take the wheel off, undo the 2 screws in the face of the drum and slide that puppy off, if your brakes are really wacked you might have to turn the adjuster to get the shoes from holding the drum, but it should pretty much slide right off...

Pulling axle...
It's not hard to, remove the 8 bolts at the end of the hub and then slide the axle out, you'll fell it leave the carrier, try not to let it bang around. Then you'll see the nuts that retain the rear bearings, they are big should not be real tight take them off and the lock ring also. Now the hub/drum will slide off the spindle, be carefull because the outer bearing will fall out the front. (while you have this off go ahead and replace the outer rear seal located on the back side of the hub). Now you should see the spindle and the brakes. Have fun.......
Sisister brought up a good point is your rear end cover round like a salad bowl with 10 bolts? If so the drums will come off with out pulling the axles. If not they have to come out....
