Replacing Driver's Window 1978 K25

I need to replace a broken window in my '78. I have a factory service manual, but it only describes how to replace the entire assembly (glass & sash channel). How does the glass attach to the channel? I don't have it apart yet. LMC has a good price for the glass--they also show a filler channel, which I assume I will need? Any and all tips appreciated.

take off door panel first, remove wingwindow + frame next. Its held in with one bolt behind the door panel and a screw on top of the door frame. then put your window crank back on and move the assembly up and down while watching it and you'll get an idea of what you'll need to do to remove the old sash channel which has two plastic wheels that fit in the window lift track. there is a slot you line up to take it out. save the sash to put on your new glass. It fits on the bottom of the glass very tight with a peice of sticky rubber filler you can purchase at any glass repair shop. Install in reverse order.
