I know when you swap to front disc's you run power brakes, is there a way to run power brakes with 4 wheel drums??

yup..just install a power brake booster...
hook up vacuum line to engine
very easy up grade

sweet, I didnt think there would be a problem, I know I dont have the money to do an all out front disc swap, just lookin for a little help in the whoa department

You could get power brakes, or non power brakes, on either disk or drum trucks.

You should be able to get the booster/bracket/pushrod for a a good deal here on the parts board, that's what I did, look in FAQ for the thread on the install, swaps in a couple of hours, well worth it.

I tried to use my daughters Blazer master one time and it would not work. I think there are also 2 different boosters.

I purchased my new booster from LMC and it was the same as the one I had.

ive heard the same and my local parts stores never have one in stock that i can measure up and they won't order it for you lest you pay up front. i'd like to find a small-diameter booster with the vacuum hole in it that is a true bolt up to my non-power all-drum truck. i dont know if such a thing exists and i would like to buy it new and at a local parts store. this seems to be one of those elusive parts that generates dozens of posts and nobody every truly gets an answer to.

i have the pedal rod already for booster brakes. i just dont know what booster is a true bolt up and whether its necessary to get a new MC or new prop valve.

I think I had a rod issue that goes into the master. I can't remember if it was too long or too short. I'm getting that CRS stuff now since I (never mind)

I got my booster from LMC and it was the same that I had.

Your pic does not show a distribution block Mudder? Did you take it out of the system?

The p valve is on the front crossmember. (77 chassis). The radiator hoses work great but ca't say much for the heater hoses and far as the way they are reduced in size to 5/8. They give you a little sleeve that goes inside of the 3/4 for downsizing and it gets pretty messed up. We ended up glueing the sleeve to the heater core last week to get it to work. I may still have some leaks, not sure yet.

I picked up a booster with master and rod off Craig's List for $20. It came off a '69 Burb and looks like it will bolt right up. The Burb was 4 wheel drum as well if I recall.
