slow progress but progress never the less.

An update of the roadster from the last 2 months.
Finally got the brake booster and MC together and installed. Shortened the steering column and installed.
Painted the radiator support and brackets. Ran the engine for about 15 minutes today.

Got to get the radiator in next and set up the electric fans. Need some ideas to build the housing for two fans. Can you guys share your ideas on building a housing for two electric fans?

The LT1 fans from the mid 90's Impala is basically a true boltup for the radiator in our trucks from what I'm told. I haven't paired mine up yet to see, but if you want me to check this out when I get home late tonight, I'll be happy to. I paid less than $100 for both my fans and the attached bracket from fbodychopshop.com. Tony was a pleasure to deal with.

I already purchased some new aftermarket fans. I didn’t know there was a set up already from other vehicles that would work. Now I want to make a shroud/mount to hold the fans instead of using that zip tie system the fans come with.

Try contacting Fuelcellguy. I am certain he did a shroud for XXL.

Thats the idea with the shroud. Even nicer would be a square to oval setup. See if you have any sheet metal shops around and you could have a nice one bent out of stainless. I will eventually have one bent up in our shop. One suggestion, stay away from those units that basically pan off the radiator leaving a couple of holes. Nothing like losing 40% of your cooling capacity. People install those shrouds with the elect fans which almost always move less air than a belt driven unit and wonder why they have cooling problems Nice progress on your project.

Looking good.

If your whole brake system is new use the silicone dot 5. that way your master will stay painted.
