Pic of Hub Caps?

Can somebody post a pic of the chrome hubcaps that would have came originally on my 72 Chevy? I don't have the money to buy any at the moment but if I come across some I'd like to know what I'm looking for. Someday the truck is going to be as original as can be.

Re: Pic of Hub Caps?

What is the option code in your glove box for the hub caps that came on it? Normally it will have a option # like P01 and say something reffering to the hubcaps like Chrome etc. unless your truck is a standard trim truck which would have included the white painted version that came standard with that type of series truck and would not be listed as an option.
Give us the year, option #, series etc. and we'll figure it out and get you a picture, I am a freak for originality so I am at your service.
Here is a good sample. The hubcaps you see on my 72 Custom Deluxe are a chrome version of the standard painted caps. This truck came with chrome bumpers and all the trim so it was also opted with the chrome caps, but there were really three caps used on series 10 trucks from 69 thru 72. Also on my 72 GMC are the full chrome caps that were used with the higher series trucks typically unless a guy bought the nicer caps as an option on a mid series truck etc.

Here's mine. They are correct for 72 dog-dish style.

Re: Pic of Hub Caps?

1PO320 is the option number and it says chrome hub caps. I have a 72 Chevy Longhorn Custom Camper Cheyenne 3/4 ton. I've been trying to post a few pics but I still haven't figured that out yet. Thanks for all the feedback from everybody.

You wanna make sure that the bow tie in the center is blue and not yellow.

Re: Pic of Hub Caps?

Those look great! I'm gonna have to get my hands on some of those some day. I can't imagine they'll be cheap though. Thanks a lot for the picture.

Re: Pic of Hub Caps?

Mine have the yellow bowtie, but I don't care, they aren't correct for a 67 anyway.

I only paid $40 shipped for a set of driver's.

what trucks/years would have had the yellow bowties? i remember my dad's '76 had the full chrome caps and they were the yellow ones. his truck was also the ochre/white color, so i didn't know whether it was a body color thing or a series/year thing. would blue have been correct for '72? i've also become an originality nut as of late.

Re: Pic of Hub Caps?

in 73, they went with yellow, and then a few years later they went to actual chrome with the yellow bow tie.

Re: Pic of Hub Caps?

I think those will look great on my blue and white truck. That pic got me all excited and I spent a lot of time looking on ebay. Not that I could afford them at the moment. I found three but they weren't in good condition. I also tried the website that True Grit suggested and it has some for 65 a peice I think, but that's too rich for my blood at the moment. I think I've finally found a way to post pics of my first truck. Hopefully I'll get that done in the next few days. Thanks again Longhorn Man for that picture. Now I know what to look for.
