Front end components
The time has come to do my front end rebuild. Kit or single part buy? Brand? Anybody use the Autozone Duralast stuff?
How about a new P/S box? I'd like something a little quicker. |

Might want to stick to MOOG parts...there are two lines of these. autozone sells the cheaper version. They have nylon internals (I would stay away from these) and get the upper end version, at least if you plan to keep the truck more than a year. As far as a quicker ratio PS box...AGR makes a very nice unit.

I agree, the price difference isn't that much. The higher quality ones will save you down the road.........if you keep it greased

Anybody use the www.espo.com stuff? I agree about using the upper end stuff. I see kits for around $325 or so and can't believe it is upper end Moog.

Howdy:
Just did a major front end refit myself late in '05. Locally, shopped at Advance Auto Parts, bought mostly TRW/ Federal Mogul, had maybe a couple of Moog($$$) pieces. Didn't have to wait more than 24hrs for any of the parts to arrive at my local store. Will post again in around 20 years (if I remember) to let you all know how the replacement parts held up. cowboy33713 |

I used the front end rebuild kit from www.p-s-t.com for my project. Shipped to my door for $190 or so

PST uses a few different brands, give them a call, they have excellent customer service. I'm sure if you want MOOG it will cost you more then that.
My kit included a full set of rubber bushings, inner tie rods (I added outers I believe), nuts & pins. I also bought their sway bar bushings and poly rear trailing arms bushings. That kit came with everything but the tie rod sleeves for some reason, I picked them up at the local auto parts store.
