Tomorrow is the day of truth!

Guess what showed up in the mail today!!

My TPI Chip!!

I got the old prom unsoldered and pulled out, and installed the new prom I've had ready and waiting for several months now Tommorow I need to install my distributer, run my plug wires, run a wire from the cab to the fuel pump, put the chip in, and hit the key!

Lets hope she runs tommorow!

If not, anyone want to buy a tuned port setup? Its got a 1992 Corvette speed density setup on it, with a converted 1985 Camaro Intake

Lets just hope it runs!!

Re: Tommorow is the day of truth!

Well, its lookin like the TPI is for sale

haha, actually, I don't think I'll sell it, but I've got a very weird bug with the chip, and the truck goes straight to limp mode.

Does run in limp mode though (however very crappily!)

Even hearing it run in limp mode is good enough to motivate me -- I'm hoping to figure my prom error out tonight, and get the truck running properly tommorow. If thats the case, expect videos soon

Re: Tommorow is the day of truth!

Well, I just tried burning a totally stock prom less VATS disabled, and the fuel injector constant set to what I've got for injectors, and the truck doesn't go into limp mode anymore!

Woohoo!

Still doesn't run though :P Thats a combination of a few things though -- Timing is way out, minimum air is likely way out of whack, and I'm almost willing to be a dollar that my fuel pressure is too low.

So, gonna go work on the timing a bit, and see if I can't get it to chug a little bit better, and try to set minimum air a bit. Fuel pressure will have to wait till tommorow when I can figure out how to get my gauge installed.

I think she's gonna run this time guys

Re: Tommorow is the day of truth!

http://www.zieglerdigital.ca/public/...s/MOV00010.MPG

Here she is guys!

This is without me setting the timing, minimum air, and with no 02 sensor, and a few known vac leaks

I gotta get some accessories on the front before I let it run too much, cause I don't have my waterpump running here.

Re: Tommorow is the day of truth!

You're going to have to run a cowl hood to clear the battery

Re: Tommorow is the day of truth!

You just wait until I get my new engine done

This one runs, but won't be more than maybe 200 hp with the stock heads.... The new one will be over 300 HP
