just a though?

ok i have a 72 gmc and the bed is about shot its sitting on a newer model frame around a 78 i think its a half ton 4x4. can i put a ton dually axle under it and put a flat alum. bed on it does anyone know if its possible and what all would i need to do it. and does anyone know how to go about finding out for sure what year frame and rear ends i have im having a hard time finding parts that will work. thanks alot

You're ganna have two different size tires,15-16,and different bolt patterns (2 spares) yes you can do it,but with it being 4x4 the gears need to be hte same in both diffs.
You can run the flatbed with no problem,my 79 4x4 has a flatbed on it,works great.
