My pad is all cracked and im starting to take it off... i got all the screws out that face forward... are there any other ones from inside the dash, or are they just poped in... i dont want to pull on it and break anything

Yes, there are studs that have nuts under the dash. You will need to take out the glove box, and pull the dash bezel back. I can't remember if the radio needs to come out or not. It seems to me there were 5 or 6 studs. I have done it without pulling that stuff, but my arms aren't very big either

yeah.... have fun. i believe there are four nuts hidden back there. two in the far corners. one just left of the center ac vent and one right under the glove box. DEFINITLY don't force it out... the dash bends easily. i had to pull most of the ac tubing out to get to them. crappy design

just did mine today i don't think you can do it very easily without pulling the stereo there was one right above it on my truck.

Did mine a couple of weeks ago, I removed the instrument cluster, radio, center A/C vent and glovebox. With all that out of the way its not to bad. I don't think it could be done very easily if you don't take all of that out. It's another one of those jobs we need a little 5" tall man that we could turn lose under the dash with a 3/8 socket and ratchet!

I tried to get my bezel off and broke the headlight switch, now it wont go back on... I still cant pull my bezel off, its like the wires to the gauges are just the right size to where it wont move... but oh well its dark out now. better luck tommorow

On your bezel, you will want to remove the oil line if you have one, and unscrew the speedo cable before you try to pull it out. I assume you have already removed the metal bezels that screw onto the headlight switch and wiper switch.
To pull the headlight knob off correctly you want to pull the whole shaft out. If you reach up under your dash and can get your hand to the top of the headlight switch you will feel a button. Push down on the button while you are pulling the headlight knob out and the knob and shaft should come out as one piece.

HEY don't forget having to remove headlight switch to even get close to that one on extreme left.. About half of mine were already gone like a former attempt went bad and they gave up@@@@@@ I am thinking about ( see post all steel dash NO pad) above I would consider getting rid of the stupid pad. Not truck stuff anuway ... Still liiking for that beeer I set aroundd here someswheres???? HIC!
