firewall insulator?

I saw a thread a while back about someone using an alternative to dynamat in our trucks. Just wondered what the cost was and it's availability, as I live up north of where most of the stuff is all manufactured. Turns out I was hosting a nice family of mice while my truck was "resting". Thanks

Re: firewall insulator?

There is a knock-off product on ebay that is the same stuff called Fatmat. About half the price and had good results. I will be using it in my truck for sure.

Re: firewall insulator?

there is also quiet car, which is a paint-on sound absorber. this is the one I have been considering, but that's probably still a few years off for me.
