Grease on white paint
Does anybody know how to get grease off of white paint?I tried washing it with dawn but it did not help.Any ideas anybody.

Well we use 409 at work on our equipment, it doesn't take the paint off,
but I am not so sure I would want to use it on my ride, just a thought

WD40 should take it off and not damage the paint.

Anyone know if greasey paw prints show up as well on a black truck? My '71 C-20 was light green/white two tone and since we use it as a work truck on the farm, both doors had the black show up really bad...........Yeah, you can clean it every 5 sec's, but it was REALLY bad on this white '72 I just bought! I have to repaint it anyhow, and was thinking about all black on this one. Yeah, it may show road dirt a bit more, but I don't think you'd see the grease on the doors as bad and I wouldn't have to clean it as often.

Go to your local paint shop and get some Wax and Grease remover. Pour a little on a rag and clean the grease up. When done rinse it and rewash it again with your mit/wash cloth, what ever you use to wash you truck. There is no need to worry about damaging the paint as long as you wash it off when you are done. It also works wonders on road tar along the wheel wells.

I run a detail shop and we use laquer thinner works great no residu and just re-wax my .02 Jack
