I Think My Paint Might Be A Little Faded
I removed a repro fender I had on the passenger side and replaced it with a NOS fender today. The fit is waaaay better on the new fender. I painted the new fender blue. The only thing it matches is the paint in the interior and the overspray on the grass in my back yard.

Re: I Think My Paint Might Be A Little Faded
That`s a shame. Now you`ll have to paint the rest of the truck to match. You opened a whole new can of worms.Too bad you couldn`t find a used blue fender that had the exact same amount of fade. That`s what you get for taking the easy way out. That`ll learn ya.

I was about to say that, rub out the rest of the truck and it'll be a lot closer.

Re: I Think My Paint Might Be A Little Faded
I spent a little time this evening polishing my hood with Turtle Wax Scratch & Swirl Remover. I think it made a huge difference, although the paint on the fender is a little too bright.

Re: I Think My Paint Might Be A Little Faded
I dont know if i did the right thing but i used some rubbing compound on my hood, because it was duller than the rest, used that then polished couple times then waxed a couple times and it looked like the rest.

Re: I Think My Paint Might Be A Little Faded
Just always park with your passenger fender facing the sun. It too will fade someday.

My truck definitely falls into the "turd" category.
