Intervention
I just bid $80 (and lost!) on eBay for essentially a bolt, a big washer, and a rusty little bracket (hardware for inside spare). I think I need a 69-72 Blazer/Jimmy intervention!
I was just thinking, my first car was a '81 Monza that actually ran okay, and even had a title, I only paid $50 for it in 1987. Anybody got any stories of spending too much because you thought you really needed some part? |

Welcome cogmeyer. Nice looking blazer. Got any more pics?
Ebay is addicting by itself, when you add car parts the equation -look out.

Re: Intervention
Finally quit raining in california, interior is coming together, and able to get it out of the garage for some pics.
New carpet, steering wheel, front upholstery. Lots of painting including console and all the seat hardware etc. Was surprised to find original back seat in great condition. It had a ragged old cover stiched over the top when I got the truck 7 years ago, and I never bothered to look underneath until now. -John |

Re: Intervention
don't feel too bad, the spare holder in this pic cost me between $230 and $250 shipped about 2 years ago. i still don't have the hardware you were bidding on so i use motorcycle tie downs when i need them. arent those sneaky last second bidders great? even though i overpaid by near $100 IMO, at the time it felt like i had just won the superbowl.

Re: Intervention
Very Nice Blazer, unfortunately you are addicted big time, I dont see any intervention programs for classic car and truck addicts, in fact cable tv has a butt load of car truck 4x4 shows to help make the addiction even badder than it already is.You just gonna have to do like the rest of cold turkey or just keep feeding it , either way you will be okay. and as far parts you need for these old cas and trucks some are just so hard to find and they are not being reproduced that you have to go with supply and demand..
