One (1) heavy duty C50? tow hook (one only)
I've seen this towhook pictured on some C50's or large trucks. The hook is thick but no offset and has 4 mounting holes. $17 shipped (1 only)

Was this front mounted or at the rear? Just curious. Think of this as another TTT.

Re: One (1) heavy duty C50? tow hook (one only)
ttt This will make a great garage hook, lol.
If I don't sell it I think I'll take all my odd shaped giant hooks and hang them in my garage to hang stuff on.

Re: One (1) heavy duty C50? tow hook (one only)
greenhorn male - You are correct on mounting. I saw a 60 series truck on Friday that had a pair of your towhooks mounted on top of frame rails immediately behind bumper face. The way the hooks were mounted would require the truck to reverse to pull a load or a tow vehicle be in front of it to "rescue" it The truck was being used by a "tree service" company and was quite original. Stub nose, bowtie 60 emblems, fresh air grills on hood sides, etc. Looked in back for a rear hook but did not see any.
I can confirm your assumption - Bob

Re: One (1) heavy duty C50? tow hook (one only)
I have 2 of these trucks....yes...They DO mount on top of the frame rails above the FRONT bumper. The holes to mount them are in all of them if it came with hooks or not.

I have a 79 GMC 5000 & they mount on the inside of the frame rails. There is a large opening in the bumper for them. |

Re: One (1) heavy duty C50? tow hook (one only)
I'm thinking this might look good under my receiver hitch, like a thick tail. But, I'm afraid I might hook the road on a dip and get shoved into the steering wheel.
