Frame Conversion

I've been reading/searching for info with limited success. I'm starting my project and would like some help/heads up. I will be using the chassis of my 80 4x4 350 4spd and placing the body of a 67-72 on it ( it'll be mix and match so I don't know what year yet). The engine will be swapped for a inline 6, keeping the 4spd. All the fuel tank relocates i've seen deal with the 67-72 frames. Will a 73-up suburban tank work? I also know about the rear cab mount brackets, but do the fronts or rad supports line up?, engine mount towers/crossmember, etc. Thanks for any help.

use a blazer tank burb will be to big blazer workes bertter im doing a 1991 frame and chassis and motor and drive train under the 1972 gmc pickup you will have to change rear cab mounts

Get out the tape measure, i have done a few frame swaps, and one trick for me is to use the cab frame mounts on the new frame. Most of the measurements I have noticed are really close as far as width, wheel base and how the frames curve.
The suburban tank is a monster and will hang down a lot further than the Blazer tank. You will need to fab or like I have use the original cross members from the frame that you are getting the tank from. i used an 87 burb tank on one truck and it mounted using the cross members.
i would aslo check the 4X4 forum because a lot of guys use the later model frames under their mud trucks
