2wd or 4? Is there a difference in the frames when you get into that year range?

Re: What's it worth?

its worth whatever someone would pay for it, i know i want mine to be short box too really bad and i would maybe pay up to 1k for a good shortbox frame, depends what condition it is in and how much money i had for it. does anyone know how hard it is to just turn a long box into a shortbox in these years?

Re: What's it worth?

Well, as a guideline, KBB lists a shortbed truck as being $100 more valuable than an identical longbed. I would guess that's a little low, since you could get close to that selling the frame for scrap.

If I had it, I'd take a look at what I've got in it. If a couple hundred makes you feel like you got something out of it, maybe you help a fellow truck enthusiast get a rig on the road a little cheaper than the guy down the street would have.

Just my $.02

Re: What's it worth?

my worry would b shipping it. Gas prices would make goin and getting it and comin back really costly!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: What's it worth?

Here's the deal. All I want is my gas money back, so say $50 w/no shipping. I'll even meet someone within a reasonable distance ~100 miles for the cost of the gas. It's got the gas tank (w/out pump) the front suspension looks complete, the rear end is missing but the springs and shocks are still there.

Re: swb frame fs cheap

seems like you can never sell these frames unless you don't actually have it...

i have a x cab short bed frame just like yours krue, no rear end, and it is probally going to get cut up soon, so i can get rid of it.

but as soon as i cut it up, i will find 10 people looking for short bed x cap frame

thats the way it goes.

Re: swb frame fs cheap

I hear ya, luckily I just cleaned most of my scrap iron, so it will sit awhile until I get another trailer load, then it's gone.
