Front disk brake conversion... do i need to change my steering bar from a 69 to a 72?
I am sorry for the terminology but i mean the bar that the inner tie rods bolt on to. I have a 69 GMC SWB with power steering 2 wd. I found out the hard way that when i took my drum brakes out i needed the 1972 ball joints and inner and outer tie rods. I was told by somebody that i need to replace the bar that the tie rods hook up to. Is this true? And what about the idle arms and is there anything else before i have to take it all apart again? thanks again for everything.

That would totaly depend on wether or not you are going to use a disk brake conversion kit like I sell or trying to use the 5 lug stuff out of a donor truck. If you use one of our kits, then the answer is no to all of your questions. If a donor truck is being used then yes along with a front end alignment. WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com
