Axles needed
Anyone have a good used set of 5 lug axles for a 12 bolt? Would even consider the whole rear if local. I want to change my 6 lug to 5 lug.

it won't work. the 6 lug rear end is 1.5inches narower than the 5 lug rear ends. there are several ways to do this change however. you could either have your existing axles redrilled or you could purchase aftermarket axles. either way it's a pain in the wallet. why not just stick with 6 lug? GM has gone back to 6 lug anyway. besides rear disk kits are easier to find in 6 lug.

FYI.....mid year 70 rears changed lengths.....these will fit......I've did it to a friend of mine. There is also a FAQ on this swap....
