What did you get done this weekend?
Ken appears to be MIA...hopefully he is busy picking up his '77.
SO, we'll start without him. What did everyone get done this weekend? Me, I spent the weekend detailing my freshly rebuilt differential, as well as the leaf springs. Once everything is finished and has dried, I will be installing them back into the frame. Should have pics by next weekends, WDYGD. I also did some yard work, and helped a buddy of mine retreive his '80 Road Runner from winter hibernation.

Re: What did you get done this weekend?
Friday night I installed a new front clip on my Tahoe.
Saturday I wired up the corer markers and washed up the interior/exterior to go to a local car show. Sunday I armor all'd the underhood plastics so it would be easier to clean this coming weekend for Dustoff. Pic of the new front clip: I will be priming the hood this week as well as doing some work on the front/rear bumpers and putting on 2" shackles to level it out. |

Re: What did you get done this weekend?
I put the summer (aluminum) wheels back on the truck, fixed the gas gauge and the temp gauge, repalced the centerlink, cleaned up the garage, finished taking the next 350 for the truck apart so it can go to the machine shop, and drove the truck around.

Re: What did you get done this weekend?
I got the Tuned Port from the vette motor and the wiring harness setup for the install in the 91 Silverado and the vette motor is now back together with the new seals and valves cleaned. I am about ready to do the install. The guys at S&P in Mena, Ar., aligned me to a set of injectors to upgrade for more HP. This will double the output when I replace the motor, looking at 300 HP.

Re: What did you get done this weekend?
this weekend i started working on my front roll pan for my '77. its turning out real good so far... the corners are off the rear of a 89-98 chevy box. they fit just right with some manipulating. i also worked on my shaved door handles, with little modification to the factory hinges, the doors now open with the key... being 17, i was pretty impressed with myself lol.

Re: What did you get done this weekend?
Installed the amp and 2nd set of 6x9s Sunday afternoon.
After I did that and got everything back together I washed it real quick-like.

Re: What did you get done this weekend?
I spent all day saturday in Noble Oklahoma at Thunder Valley Raceway Park. They held the 1st event of the Clash of the Titans season, and it was GREAT! I took about 50 pictures and got to see some wild action.
Sunday I got my cab stand almost finished. It is now able to roll around, just gotta work out the tilting and she'll be done.

It was last minute actually, we decided to go the night before If I can sell the 406, I plan on building a new one. Unfortunately the sale of mine will only take a minor dent out of the cost of the new one... (Motown 400 block, forged rotating assembly, Brodix aluminum heads, etc.) I just made a thread with the Clash pictures... http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...70#post1681970

Re: What did you get done this weekend?
I went to Dallas this weekend to watch my daughter play volleyball. They played in another Junior Olympic qualifier. This one wasn't as successful as the last one, but still a great finish. The placed 9th out of 176 teams.
While I was there I went by Stoked Out Specialties in Rockwall to check on my 77 Cheyenne. The good news is it's finally ready to be picked up. The bad news is something isn't quit right with the transmission. It works fine when it's cool but doesn't shift correctly once it's hot. Now I have to trailer it back to Houston so by brother-in-law can find the problem. Jeff- Thanks for posting this thread while I was gone.

Re: What did you get done this weekend?
My buddy and me did more wiring and now the fusepanel is in place on an aluminum mounting plate we fabricated. The cockpit is working now with lights and instruments (as far as we could test without senders!)
Sidemarkers are in and wired and frontlightwiring is in too but no light yet! Colormatched the powersteeringpump and installed new weatherstripping on the cab.Found out that i ordered windowchannels instead of windowfelts,so i could´t put windows in! |

Re: What did you get done this weekend?
I went to the Auto Show in NYC. Saw a lot of cool new cars, and found out the STS-V fits me very well. Everyone needs a 470hp sedan, I think. We also cought a Yankees game while we were there, and I seem to have cought a cold. Other than that, it was a good time.

Re: What did you get done this weekend?
Gee I guess I'll chime in late since it's almost the weekend again.
Spent friday ripping up concrete in the shop. Still havent been able to really use the new lift we got back in December since the floor was too questionable for safety. Ripped up one section that was test drilled and found to be a whoppibng 2". Figured the other section would be about the same, it ended up being 6" which was perfect but we dident know until it was too late. Spent saturday pouring and finsihing the new concrete which is nice and thick now (overkill) with 5/8 rebar supports. The lift aint going no where. Today I got a new/used box for the 76 from a 86 4x4. The box is in good shape with only a few surface rust spots here and there and the corners around the wheel wells are just starting to go so it's very saveable. The best part is it has the factory paint still on it and has absolutly NO BONDO! no filler yet anyway. The tailgate is perfect and the aluminum end peice doesent have a scratch on it. The floor is 100% better then mine but most trucks havent seen the abuse the 76 has. Now I just need to figure out how I'm going to pay the guy I got it from since taxes killed me and I havent had any real work in two weeks. Common, AC season get here already! Oh if anyone is looking for a super clean cab/front clip with no rust keep an eye peeled on ebay. The guy I got the bed from is going to list it all since he's using the frame/engine for a 47 chevy truck street rod monster truck 4x4project rolling on 44's. I'm going to get some pics up on the site when were done with it since I'm going to end up getting suckerd into helping. Note: I'm not selling any of the parts mentioned above per site regulations. Just giving you all a heads up on some good stuff.

DUSTOFF 2006 is postponed due to inlclement weather. Due to the thunderstorms predicted the city (the show is thrown in a city park) is not going to let us have the show this weekend. Because of the damage to the park 2 years ago, they don't think it's a good idea to have the show this weekend. We will have a new date later today. Sorry for the postponment, we will definatly make it up to everybody. We will have free show shirts for all preregistrations even if your over the 1st 100.
