Anybody running posi rear ends?
I'm looking at getting some kind of locker in my truck but dont know which to do. Go full time posi,or get something that only locks when needed? What brand do you use? How do you like it?
I can lay some serious rubber with my truck but only with one wheel....I dont like that. Andy |

Re: Anybody running posi rear ends?
I have a posi in mine (original) with 3.73 but I'll be selling it when I have time to install my new Detroit Locker with new 3.73s.
Depends on what you're doing, but I prefer the locker. Never wears out, and provides equal power to both wheels, better for drag than a posi. |

Re: Anybody running posi rear ends?
I used run a 12 bolt wiyh a posi. It worked ok. I now run an eaton with a detroit locker, and love it. My trucks used for wheeling, but it has nice street manners. With a locker you somethings back there, but it never slips.

Re: Anybody running posi rear ends?
I have a stock 3.73 posi and I like it. I haven't had any issues since I changed the grease and added posi lube additive.

Re: Anybody running posi rear ends?
When I first bought the truck, mine made a lot of noise when it got hot. I changed the oil and added the conditioner and it's been fine ever since. It's factory 12 bolt with 3.73's.
