power steering pump noisy

after my power steering upgrade i get a lot of pump noise when turning the wheel. sounds like the fluid is low but its not. any ideas? i would hate to burn up this new pump/box. Install was done awhile back but still getting the noise.

Need to bleed the air out of the system. Jack the truck up, with the engine running turn the steering wheel from lock to lock several times slowly, checking the fluid. You may have to do it several times to get air out. When you're checking the fluid look for alot of bubbles, when you have the air out the fluid doesn't have bubbles. With truck back on ground do the same. That should do it. Some vehicles are a real pain to get air out of.
