Question: How many bolts are holding the manual tranny to the bell housing?
Help!
 How many bolts are holding the original 1959 Chevy 3100 transmission to the bell housing? We found two upper bolts where you put the guilding bolts at, but we still can't detach the tranny from the bell housing. Any info will be appreciated.Thanks!

Should be 4, two upper and two lower.

there are two inside the bell that are a pain in the A** to get at. and two on the outer top.
