Tow hitch options

I just bought a little trailer (4x8 deck) for towing karts. I have a bumper ball but the trailer looks like it is launching into outer space when hooked up. So I need to get an actual tow hitch so that I can use a drop ball and tow the trailer level. What are my best options (and vendors) for a bolt on hitch (without having to drill the chassis if possible) that will not foul with either the spare wheel or existing rear bumper?

Great! That is perfect!
As a side question, what is the tow rating of the bumper hitch (as in the picture of my truck above)?
I have towed a car trailer with a 4k lb car before (rental trailer and the rental place didn't have a problem with the bumper hitch, so I assume it is good for about 5k lbs and 500lb tongue, at least?)

Thanks for the link! I will measure the trailer with the nose 6inches below the bumper to see if it will work.

Looks like you decided to keep the truck,
Hard to guess the bumper rating, but a small trailer like that should be no problem, I suspect that hitch lowering box will reduce the capacity some, but that should still be fine with a small trailer.

Yeah, I just could not stand to lose her!

The trailer weighs 485lbs and will carry 2 karts at a weight of about 300lbs max, so I don't think that trailer weight will be a problem!
The trailer only has 12" wheels so it is pretty low, which is good for towing (keeping center of gravity low), but bad for lining up level with the ball.
That drop bracket should be the ticket!

I have pulled a loaded tandem axle hay trailer w/ a 2 5/16" hitch using a similar bumper on my truck and it didn't have any problems. We just got our trailer finished for the welding machine and I have the same problem, the rear of the truck is too high and the trailer isn't level. What I did was go to Tractor supply and buy a receiver tube and weld a piece of 7/16" plate to it, and cut holes in it so it would bolt to the step bumper. I use a 2" drop hitch with the receiver and it works great, but that drop bracket would be a lot easier to use.
