Chip...E85...Gas Mileage

Hello I own a 1996 4x4 extended cab short box with a 4.3 automatic I am getting about 14.5 miles to the gallon and I was wondering if there is a chip or something modification you can make to the computer that will increase my gas mileage.
Also I live in south dakot and E85 is becoming popular I was wondering what all has to be changed in the motor to burn E85.
Is there any other things I can do to put more money in my pocket?

Would a Throttle Body Spacer be worth the money? Is there any chips or anything that will improve the gas mileage?

I have found that what you are looking for is tough to find. You can spend a 100 here and a 100 there and maybe get a 1MPG gain. Is it worth it?

The easiest route is to find an old little beater car. Like an old Honda or something. You can get 30 + MPG with them and they are cheap and you still have your truck for when you need a truck.

Re: Chip...E85...Gas Mileage

tbi spacer, air intake, free flowing exhaust all help. for a chip, check out www.tbichips.com/
thats where i got mine and i notice a differnece and they are cheap. i have 350 eith headers, true dual exhaust, chip, open air cleaner and 210,000. i now can get up to 21mph on the interstate at 75 when the weather is pretty good. i aerage about 17 with highway and town driving. when i got it i only got like 12 or so, all i know is that it sucked, it still isnt enough but it pretty good the a pickup with that many miles on its original engine and tranny.
