Low Pro size on escalade/sierra wheels?????
Can anyone tell me what's the lowest profile tire that you can fit on a 7.5 inch escalade/sierra wheel? I'm thinking about buying either some escalade or sierra wheels and wanted to run a 45-50 series tire on em. I know that I will probably have trouble with the center hole and need spacers. Thaks guys!!!

Lowest all together. I'm primarily concerned with the side profile (rubberband). The guy at the tire store says that you cant run a 45-50 series tire, because the wheel is too narrow.

17" x 7.5" , I've had mixed reviews. Some people tell me that you can run a 45 series tire on them and some people say you cant.

According to the BFG website, these sizes can be used on those rims
205/40/17 205/45/17 205/50/17 215/45/17 And these are all low Profiles

Re: Low Pro size on escalade/sierra wheels?????
These are the wheels that I'm thinking about getting for the truck. Pretty huh?! I found em on flea bay for 300 bucks shipped. I emailed the guy and he said that the center hole was 3 inches and the backspacing was 5.5 inches, does that sound like it will work, or will that hole have to be bigger to mount up?
Oh yeah, could you give me that site? I went to BFG.com but couldnt find any wheel/tire calculators. |

Re: Low Pro size on escalade/sierra wheels?????
The width of the wheel has nothing to do with the height of the tire... You can run a 245/35-17 if you wanted to, or any profile for that matter... Amazing that the guy that sells tires doesn't even know what he's selling...
