Bleeding new brake system....
What is the best way to bleed (fill) a new brake system (completely empty). I bench bled the master cylinder so it's ready to go. I've been told to get one of those vacuum pumps and suck the fluid through at the wheels. Any better suggestions?

I've recently discovered Speed Bleeders. They are simply bleeder valves with a little check valve inside and some gunk on the threads to seal them up. Makes for easy one-man bleeding--just open it up, walk to the cab and pump the pedal until you see clear, bubble-less fluid coming through your clear tubing that you attached to the bleeder, and walk back and close the valve. Pretty darn easy. They cost about $12 a pair, though. I see them at all the parts stores now. Good luck!

Hey Slammed,
I bought the Vacuum Pump to bleed the brakes on my truck. It cost about $30 and worked well. If you work alone it is a must. This method also is good for containing the brake fluid, important with a nice paint job like yours.

I like the mityvac, it works good and doubles for working on your adjustable vacuum advance on distributors. Another good thing I found out that to me is worth $30 alone, one of the attachments works great for testing Holley power valves. Would recommend it highly.
Oh did you run exhaust pipes yet to your sanderson headers? The pictures you sent looks like the starter side could be rough, was just curious if was the picture playing tricks on me.

Well, I went ahead and bought the mytivac vacuum pump. It worked great. Although I had to put some teflon tape on the bleeder screw threads because too much air was leaking past them. Can't wait to try them out on the road........ better get that engine hooked up!
