68 Vrs 67 C-10
Is there any reason a 68 grill and hood would not swap straight across to a 67? Thinking I seen a dicussion on this but not findong it in FAQ. Would any of you have good working knowledge here. Thanks Larry

Re: 68 Vrs 67 C-10
i have both and the only things I know are different is that the 67 did not have the eye brow chrome.
The break down if I rmember correctlt is 67-68 chevy fenders, hood, grill etc and bumpers, GMC fenders, hoods(with different holes because of the GMC emblem)67-72 interchange with the 67-68 chevy |

Re: 68 Vrs 67 C-10
Yep, I put a grill from a 67 on our 68, since the 67 one was in better shape. One minor difference on the hood that might not matter unless you are going for perfection is that the 67 hood that I did not use, the 67 hood has no holes either in the front or back side for front hood trim. A plain jane 68 hood without chrome should have holes on the back side for socket access to the nuts, even if the front is not drilled for chrome. Of course the 68 with chrome is drilled through both sides, and a 67 hood could be drilled for chrome but more work involved.

Re: 68 Vrs 67 C-10
lights were optional in 68, and required for any cab/chassis model that had dual rear wheels.
So... you get a 50%. |

Re: 68 Vrs 67 C-10
I put a '68 grille on my '67 Suburban after I got head-on'ed by a crazy deer. Only problem was the parking light connectors are different between the '67 and '68s. ['68 contacts are at a right angle and the '67 contacts are at an odd angle.] I swapped out the '67 parking light buckets and it worked.
