New Upholstry on the seats!

For a few years we wanted the color of the seat changed, and now we finally did it.

This is how it was:

The new fabric:

Getting off the old upholstry:

The beginning:

The second seat is getting naked also:

I'm making the buttons:

Re: New Upholstry on the seats!

matthufham, guess I missed the thread where we voted.

Edmond and Antoinette, great work. I know how much you enjoy your truck and how much pleasure you get in doing your own work. The console was really slick and the seats are no less.
I guess I could say too, whatever floats your boat, whatever trips your trigger, but the real reply should be, whatever cushions your kidneys !

Been so busy here I have not had much time to talk with you. I will.

Thank you.

That's a tweeter in the A/C vent. Since the A/C wasn't working in
the truck when we bought it, I thought that this was a good solution
One day, in the future, I hope to have A/C, so this set-up will have to
move to a different location.

The console came out of a Volkswagen Golf GTI Mk1. The bottom part was hand-made.

No worries Kevin. I wish you had more time, but I guess work is still taking up
too much of the precious time.

Went to the annual check-up today, the garage is getting worse and worse.
I didn't let them do the job on the rear axle. I didn't trust them with it.
I'll do it after our holiday to Normandy, France, at the end of this month.
I'm a bit scared to do it, but what can go wrong if I do it like Fred T said, right?
Will mail you later buddy!

Cya,
Edmond

The carpet is just a piece of carpet you use in home.
We cut it ourself to the correct measurements.
In real life it doesn't look as good as on the picture I can tell you.
That's one thing we need to do, get a real carpet for the truck...
But for now, this will do just fine.

Thanks.
