chrome stepside steps
does anyone know where i can find chrome stepside steps for my 1985high sierra , i have some on here right now and they look nice but have rust and i need new ones ....any one know where i can get them , or would i have to buy new ones and send them out to get chromed..... and how much do u think chroming would cost of i couldent find em ?

Have you tried fine steel wool and coca cola or even a tooth brush and coca cola?Works wonders for chrome.

Take the ones you have to the nearest chrome shop and get them re-plated. I'm sure they would cost less than a new set, and look a whole lot nicer as well.

I would either have them rechromed or have them jet hot coated.
Any thing you buy will probably be a repop from china or taiwan either way it probably won't fit as good and be made of lighter material than what you have now. |

I have been looking for them for years. I have a set that I bought back in 1986 or so but can't find them now. Mine got so bad that I had to paint them. I want the chrome ones back. I checked a few years ago about having them rechromed and if I remember right it was about $100.00 each. IF ANYONE FINDS THEM, PLEASE POST.

cost me almost 150.00 a piece ouch,, but they came out very well...california and there chemical costs for the chromers is whats runnin it up here back 10 yrs ago i think it was only 50.00 a piece..

Yeah, There expensive they still sell them but not chrome.You have to have them done yourself I would check the ceramic coating they look nice on Headrers I do'nt know about steps though.LMC,CLASSIC INDUSTRIES,CHEVY DUTY & JC WHITNEY sell them all not chromed.Let us know what you decide and send pics

I was thinking(not 100% sure some where around97.26%)that the JC Whittney book from a couple months back had a white stepside chevy with chrom steps on it.
