Auto trans recommendations for '72

Hi Everyone,

It has started warming up a bit around here, so I have been cruising my truck around. I have been struggling with the idea of installing either a TH350 or 400 in my C20; the SM465 does not make this thing very enjoyable to drive.

What would you all recommend, including tail shaft lenth etc/other parts. Here are my specs: 350ci motor, currently running SM465 with 2 piece drive shaft with Dana60 4.10 gears and 31in tires. Let me know, thanks in advance.

- Jerry

BTW its a LWB

With the current SM465, which trans would be the easiest swap. The TH350 or 400?
