Unhappy Exhaust Temp Valve on Pass side Exh manifold?

I have a huge exhaust leak from an exhaust fresh air inline valve connected to passenger side exh manifold. WTH, looked in manual and says only existed in 1975 Mark IV system and 6 cyls??? Do any of you have this on a 70?

Looks to be an aftermarket "heat riser exhaust valve." Came on different brand vehicles. maybe a dealer added device? Guess I should probably just loose it. Any advice?
