Damn! That is nice work. I dont see how you get your welds ground down so nice, I have a hard enough time getting bondo to look like something.

Very nice work! So was your blank made that close tolerance or did you build up the weld area so you'd have something to grind on?

Earl...you da man! I don't know if it is your photography skills, bodywork or welding skills I admire more. Put them all together in a new bodywork book! BTW...where is our tech section that should include this. What do you want for one of those blanks?

That is a work of art. No one would ever know there was a hole there even without primer on it

Maybe he just ground off the passenger side and reversed the picture? I do body work like New York fixes pot holes---by making bumps which create more holes! MY bondo looks like peanut butter spred (chunky style) while my paint looks like someone took a mouthfull and spit it on. BUT, when it's wet and you are standing 30 feet away, it looks almost good.

Hmm, if you're ever bored, I've got lots of work for ya around here. I haven't picked up a welder yet, but I'm scared to see the monstrosities I create with it..

How the hell do you do that with no filler. I just did that gas hole fill plate the other day (made my own fill plate) but no way could I get by without the filler. Didn't take much , but still...........
