Hopefully this will be a couple of pictures of my 53 but I haven't figured out the picture thing yet so if it doesn't work I apologize. Also have to metion BIG thanks to BOSS for resizing these for me to get them posted because although I'm a decent mechanic and fabricator I'm like a kid playin with poop when it comes to computers.

Re: My bagged 53

Can somebody say 0 ground clearance. Good luck on getting it finished and on the road. I'm old enough to remember those trucks when they were new. I still like them.

Re: My bagged 53

LOL don't worry the bags raise it 6 inches and I plan to install snubbers to keep it about an inch off the ground if I lose the air pressure in the bags so I can get it off the road or somewhere safe to fix it. I also have a 70 longbed half ton I'm the third owner of...it's rough but I like it and a 69 that I shortened the frame and bed on to make it a swb thats going to be slammed and bagged as well

Re: My bagged 53

Can you post the wheel size and tire size? I`m curoius as to what fits. I`ve been trying to get a early 50`s chevy truck from a friend and I like the way yours looks with those wheels.

Re: My bagged 53

The wheels are 18" but I could have even done 20s the tires are 225 40 18 in the front but I should have gone to a larger tire. I will run taller ones in the back. As it sits now with the bags all the way down I can still turn it lock to lock without the tires hitting the fenders.

Re: My bagged 53

Looks awesome HR I wish I had used the shockwaves on mine the big wheel backspace left me VERY little room for the front shocks behind the control arms. Oh well... I wil do it that way next time. Thanks again

Re: My bagged 53

Mine was originally setup for stock coil spring in front and coil overs in the rear. When I decided to bag it, the shockwaves seemed the easiest way to go, front and rear. Here's a some pics of my '48, for a little motivation to you.

Re: My bagged 53

Looks great and I love those wheels on it .. thought about doing a 20" on the back, with a 18/20 combo? that would be sweet!

Re: My bagged 53

Thanks...I wish I had gotten 20's for the back but at the time I thought I would just do a "rubber rake" with slightly larger tires in the back. I'll definitely do the 20's on the rear of the next one or maybe the 51 suburban.
