Should i buy it?

my friend offered to sell me a 71' c20 for $100 thats basically a rolling chassis with a solid frame, good cab, but the cab corners need replaced and minor rust in usaull spots, i think the rear end needs to be rebuilt or somthing like that cant remember, interior is clean, basically needs a good clean and seats need re-upholstered. front right fender is in good shape and he has a good hood for an extra $25 and he has a sb he'll sell for $350 (probly a 327 knowing him) and some auto tranny for $200. iam just gonna have a hard time to get my parents to allow it to sit in the garage and barn because they see it as "junk"

Well, 100 bucks for a truck, with a solid frame and cab you can't really go wrong. Actually, there's no way to go wrong. I'd hold back on the SBC, sounds like a lot of money to me, but what do I know?

Re: Should i buy it?

Welcome !!! First post, lots of good people here to help you.
The definition of a bargain is something you don't need at a price you can't refuse. Sometmes even free is too much. If you can devote the time and money to fix it up go for it. But even the parts are surely worth more than $100. Disk brakes are nice place to start.

Re: Should i buy it?

Welcome to the forums.
What part of ohio you located in?
$100 ... in these parts, that cab would sell for 300 - 500 pretty quick if all it needs is cab corners.
