Engine Code Identification

What kind of engine do i have? Codes offf the block are VO324TJU. I have used the search tool and was unable to come back with results. Also still looking for a 8 lug 3/4 ton axle with around 3.73 gearing compatible with a 67 C20. Thanks

Where did you get that number? The engine block number should be on a flat pad( a extension to the block deck) at the back of the motor on the driver side. Once you get that number you can go to www.mortec.com and find the number. That site will tell you what you have.

TJU is a '73 or '74 350 4bbl from a C-10 to 3500 van or bus. The '73 was rated @ 155 hp, '74 @ 160 hp.

Well i looked on the back of the block and went to mortec. Unfortunatly this is what i saw. Looks pretty vague. The first number i listed came from the front of the block passenger side. Which is real? And were did you get the info for the first set? Thanks

Does the engine have a oil tube on the front of it? If so it is a 327. You can take a valve cover off and get the numbers and run them. Compare the 2 together to come up with a final assessment.
