spring comparison and question

hey, I just updated my site with a few pics. We were trying to put the rearend under the truck last night and a few questions came about.

1stly this is the comparison of the stock springs (my uncle tells me the "stock" ones that I have are actuallyt 3/4 ton? I dunno.. this is a 1/2 ton truck)

at any rate, are the black springs a 4" drop from stock? I ordered a 2/4 drop springs kit from early classics, and I recall the front springs being VERY easy to put in.

2ndly, how in gods name do those little cups mount on these springs? I've looked in my assembly manual, it mentions the notch in the cups mounts with the end of the spring, but I can't get that lined up. Any pics of this would be real helpful.

also note, on this topic, the black coil in the pic coils alittle differently on 1 end over the old ones. Is that a problem?
