parting out 69 1 ton

got it home did a compression and test and have decided to part it out rather than fix it. Everything will not include shipping. Truck is a 6-cyl (292) auto, pb. Let me know what you want off of this. The heater controls, black arm rests and the dash pad are spoken for. I'll start with:

west coast mirrors-$10 each
auto. linkage-$30
metal dust cover $10

Re: parting out 69 1 ton

Have a torch? I need the center section of the cross member that the driveline passes through. I only need the center section so if you could cut it on each side of where the rear trailing arms bolt up, that would be perfect. I am in no real hurry so if you wanted to wait until you sold things that made it easier to get to, that would be fine.

Re: parting out 69 1 ton

silvertonguedevil...All of the automatic crossmembers are the same... 1/2ton, 3/4ton and 1ton.. Just the 1 tons used a spacer because the frames are taller..
The manual transmission trucks used 2 different crossmembers which are riveted to the frame under the belhousing.. the 6 cyl is different from the V8..

Re: parting out 69 1 ton

We may be talking about different cross members. I'm not talking about a transmission cross member. I'm talking about the cross member that the driveline actually passes through. Some had a carrier bearing and some did not but that's the cross member that I'm talking about. It would be the first one after the tailshaft on your transmission (and the driveline passes through it).

Re: parting out 69 1 ton

bobvilla- here's a set of spacers for you.

badpeanut-leaf spring rearend pic and a pass. side exhaust hanger.

silvertonguedevil- 2 pics of x members for you.

chucks70- engine pic for you- only 1 bracket left of the air cleaner setup. I'll check with my cousin, I know he has a complete setup. No P.S. on this. I have a ps gearbox in the shop or are they diff. on a 1 ton.

Re: parting out 69 1 ton

67sss, thanks for the pics but those cross members are totally different from what I have/need. I guess I need at least a 1/2 ton or a 3/4 ton. Thanks again.
