throttle cable for GenIII swap
Just wondering if someone that has done the swap could tell me which throttle cable works. Probably going with a Lokar. I am sure I could figure it out, but I thought someone could save me some time and make sure I get the right one..
Thanks |

Re: throttle cable for GenIII swap
stock cable worked fine. the stock truck cable for the 01-02 will be just fine, it reaches the pedal and even hooks up properly to the 71-72 pedal (don't remember what year your truck is). with you using the 6.0 intake, it should have the truck fastener on it already to pin the cable down properly.

Re: throttle cable for GenIII swap
i don't have part number for stock cable for a '00 silverado thorttle cable whicis what i used but is and cost me $21 from gmotors.com, which, by the way, is the absolute most pleasant GM parts site on the web to use - and you get parts at 20-40% less than the dealership.

Re: throttle cable for GenIII swap
you should literally be able to use the stock cable then - should be a direct boltup. i got the truck cable and it works with my LS1, i only had to flip a bracket to make it mount in the intake manifold for the camaro - you have the truck manifold on yours, so should be direct boltup.
you need pictures or anything of my setup and how long the stock truck cable is? i'll be happy to snap a couple for you. i have a 68 so my pedal will be a little different. i'm using stock linkage and stuff.

I used the lokar hi-tech or whatever they call it on mine. It worked flawless also and added a little bling under the hood.

I ordered the longest one and then trimmed it.
