tie rod to spindle question

i am going to do a disk conversion on the front of my truck i have the trailmaster 3''drop spindles for a later truck does anyone know if the tie rods will be small and the spindle hole will have to be drilled out to fit or will the hole be to big and i will have to change the tie rod end and what tie rod do i need?? or if i had any luck would it fit! any help would be great thanks.

You say "later truck"... what year? Most likely you will have to buy the tie-rod ends for that same year. Your old ones will most likely be too small... but who knows, you might get lucky.

agree with porterbuilt--- most likely you will need to recut the threads to 5/8" LH from the 11/16" RH of the later truck. I have done 4-5 sets for others on this forum. but we need to know the "later truck" year --hopefully a half ton

i think the spindles would fit early 80s trucks and yes they were 1/2 ton i have been tring to get all of the parts together i am taking a week off for the 4th of july to do the entire front end swap i have all after market a arms spindles ect i am also going to do all of the brakes so i am hopefully going to have all of the parts ready i am also going to take some pics to post up here if i need to have the threads re cut how much do you charge? are there any other options thanks for the help

Most likely you need Moog ES409R outer tie rod ends --- anything later than 70 will be 11/16" RH instead of the 5/8" LH on the 65-70 tie rod ends. You have choices. PM me if you want to talk about re-threading new ends. You need to know for sure what tie rod end fits-- go to your favorite auto place and borrow an end to ensure fit.
