85 suburban???

I went and looked at a 1985 suburban tonight and i want someones opinion. I think it was a 3/4 ton, to be honest i didn't look but thinking about it, it might be. 350, ac, 4 speed trans. The rocker panels are rotted and and has holes on the floor at the back doors, otherwise the floor looks solid. I did notice several mounts are bad and the brackets on the frame will need to be replaced. The interior was not to good either. The head liners are falling down. It hasn't been inspected since 1999.

Tell me how much would you pay on the info I gave. By the way, I don't know if it runs either.

burban

dude , being that rusted overall shabby and a carbureted 85 that
baby is a "parts only" truck. It could still be a 305 also. If it runs good $500-$1000 . if you don't hear it run and feel the tranny shift $100-$400 . I live within 150?? miles of you . ( I live 30 minutes south of the Philly Airport). I have a 1988 ,454 TBI ,
3/4 ton, 2WD burb with no rot but bad paint for sale for only $1900 and people are not exactly beating the door down.No one wants to rework an entire burb, they are massive . my .02 . if you want some info on mine Email me privately at
all4trux@snip.net
and i can send a pic or two and have a real good ,HONEST, description written up.If you get the philly truck trader it is going in this weekend, in the GMC SUV section. I lived in Eastern PA for 14 years and Welded many a floor section and rockers in and it is WORK! X 2 when you do a Burb. DAVE

Wink

Well I think the way you should veiw it is... If you want it.. Buy it... Time and money is no object when you desire something. I have been workin on my chevy c30 for quite some time and sunk in about 5 or 6 thousand dollars so far and it dont evon have paint yet. But trust me it will be worth its wieght in gold when I get done with it.....
