What is the shift pattern for three on the tree
I just bought another truck and need to get it out of the yard to get it towed to my house but cannot figure how to get it into Neutral.
Tips please

Re: What is the shift pattern for three on the tree
It should be if you pull it back and up is R, pull back and down is first, push forward and up is second and push forward and down is 3rd, anywhere in the "middle" should be N. You might want to check to make sure that the gear selectors aren't jammed. (the thingys on the steering column under the hood) They sometimes get "hung up" and won't let you shift at all! Or they get "stuck" in a gear. Mine used to get stuck in Neutral pretty often (like once every couple months.)

Re: What is the shift pattern for three on the tree
I have to climb under mine every once in a while with the 3 spd stick moved to the floor. As was suggested to me, just make sure to block the wheels so you don't become the wheel chock yourself when the linkeage gets free if that in fact is the problem.
