Tie rods pics???
Can some post a few pics of the way our tie rods go together, how they join to the power steering and bolt to the frame on the passenger side.
Thanks. Alex |

Re: Tie rods pics???
I don't have any pictures handy, but from the spindles in, are an outer tie-rod, sleeve, inner tie rod, attaching to a center linkage. The driver's side has a pitman arm attaching to the steering box (splines on the box side, and a tapered rod on the linkage side, and the passenger's side has an idler arm that bolts to the frame, with a tapered rod through to the linkage.
Hope that helps.

Re: Tie rods pics???
Hey Thanks Guys!!! Got it done!!! A special thanks to Pete Boeh who sent me about 10 pic showing just what this old dude forgot when I took them off 2 years ago. I know....I have to paint the frame cross support...I know I know...LOL.
Realized it needed cleaning and paint prior to installing the sway bar. She's ready for paint now. Paint and the Sway bar next!!! Last edited by ChevyDude; 06-03-2006 at 06:57 PM. |
