new gas door,tailgate and bed.............
this is the bed i picked up last week from doug. its already been tubbed and roll pan installed. it needs some very minor bodywork.
i had to get the gas fill done before i could think about pulling my old bed and putting this one in place. got that done today. i used a gas fill for a boat and a GATES 90* fuel filler hose (thanks NAPA). its gonna work out perfect for me. i just hope AZ. EMISSIONS doesnt have a problem with it since there is no REMOVALBE gas cap to test. if they do i will have to go to a different one that i seen with a cap. i picked the tailgate up the other day for 60$ and had it in primer by sunday. had to a little bit of body work (couple small dents) to fix but no biggie. just gave me an excuse to go to HARBOR FREIGHT and buy the INLINE sander ive been wanting. Take 2 4 X 4's and place at each end. Take an 80lb bag of quickcrete and put in the middle and let it sit in the sun for a couple of days.

You were able to actually get that size fuel hose from napa??? Do they carry the large fuel hose sizes in stock and dare I ask.... how much was it? I need some 2 1/4" for my silverado fuel door I added to my blazer tank.... the flippin yard I bought my filler from cut the hose instead of pulling it off

QKENUF4U - Are you going for the Prostreet look or are you just putting some wide meats on the back.....and if so, what size are ya gonna run.
I was thinking about doing something like that just to put serious rubber on so it looked pretty "fat" from the rear. |
