Fan Shroud

I have a 75 Blazer with a 350. I need a fan shroud. I cannot found that old of parts at local salvage yards. I have tried a couple of other GMC shrouds, but the bolt patterns and sizes do not match.

What model years can work on my Blazer?

Re: Fan Shroud

it depends on if you have the heavy duty cooling or not. The shrouds will work from 73-80, but are different between the HD cooling and non HD cooling. The HD setup has a bracket that bolts to the top of the radiator support and goes straight back, the non HD cooling has a bracket that bolts to the backside of the rad support, and makes a 90 degree angle to hold the radiator and shroud.

Re: Fan Shroud

Like johnboy said. My two cents are this...if you try and convert to a HD cooling sytem and your core support was not a HD cooling unit you will need to add 4 nutzerts into the top of the core support to bolt in the top plate that holds the radiator. If you get a good gm parts guy you can order them from gm....but...you will need an air operated installer as they are thick and will break a hand setter...been there done that. Most dealerships for semi's will have such a tool as the cabs and sleepers are all put together with rivets that use crimp collars...and for the life of me this morning i can't get the correct name out of my pee brain....wait a minute...they are called huck bolts.

Re: Fan Shroud

Check with LMCtruck.com. I recently got a one piece Big Block shroud from them for $50.00. I couldn't find one until trying them.
