FS- 72 Jimmy body + bedside & top

I have for sale a 72 Jimmy body for sale. The bedfloor is pretty rusty, and so are the bedsides. The cab floor has large rust holes, but I will include the brand new floor patch panels. The firewall and windshield frame apear ok. I have found what apears to be minor surface rust on the bottom of the windshield frame but I am sure it is fine.

The top was fine until the other day when it blew off before I could bolt it down, so now it has some damage to the door and top, glass is fine.

I also will include a passengers bedside that I bought 1 year ago off of Ebay and I beleive I paid $250 for that.

This is my project Jimmy and I have found a rust free body to use so I am not going to attempt to fix this one because it is a little over my head.

I will sell it all for $400 or best offer. I need to get this out of here so feel free to make me any offer. Title is included if wanted. I want to sell all of it as a whole.

I am located in western South Dakota, and I could possibly meet someone.

I will post some pics next and feel free to contact me with any questions. Thanks for looking!

Re: FS- 72 Jimmy body + bedside & top

I am in Brookings, all the way on the other side of the state. Would you be willing to meet me somewhere in between?
I am assuming by the hole from the large hump that this ws titled as a 4x4, is that correct?
Thanks!
Shawn

Re: FS- 72 Jimmy body + bedside & top

Wow-we got SoDaks here!-I'm in Rapid City.
I'm afraid the stuff yer sellin muckmuck is stuff I already have tho. I do need a rear half of a Left Q panel, if you know of one, front fender eyebrows, the top chrome strip that is rivited to the grille, headlight bezels, and both bumpers. Good driver quality is what Im after definitely not gonna be a show truck!

I bought my 70 Jimmy from my Ma who lives in Spearfish in 2001, so it spent 16 years livin in Lawrence Co. Also it was purchased in Spearfish new and Ma bought it in 71, but she lived in Rapid back then. That truck saved our lives the night of the 72 flood (34 years ago tonite)-got us thru some deep water, and that Jimmy and our lives was all we had left June 10th. Ma was born in the hole that used to be known as Terraville, between Deadwood and Lead. Shes 83 now and is after my ass to get it back on the road so she can drive it again, if I can lift her up in the seat! Gotta love them ol' mountain girls!

Sorry about the history lesson-just tickled to see someone just 45 minutes from here!

Later---DAC

Where are you going? Do you have room to throw the firewall/windsheild frame in? How about the bed side?

Re: FS- 72 Jimmy body + bedside & top

71swb-i am going to Minn. I would have room for that but I want to get rid of it completely, so I dont have to deal with the rest of it. i suppose if you made me an offer on the bedside and windsheild frame/firewall i could just scrap the rest. i didnt want to scrap anything, but maybe that is all the back half is worth.

70gmc- i may have the parts you need. if you get up to the deadwood area, i have both bumpers, and some good grille peices. not show quality, but not bad shape at all.

Oh yah- I forgot to mention that if ya end up cuttin it up to sell various pieces, if the left bedside is usable I am interested in that too. Hopefully you can sell it in one piece to make it easier on ya. If ya still have it when I can come up to Deadwood, I may come up with an idea to sell the tub for ya too.

Re: FS- 72 Jimmy body + bedside & top

that orange passenger bedside is exactly what i need, down to the spare mount holes. im in california and kinda broke right now but that bedside would make my life much easier. let me know if you still have it?
