Tire Pictures needed

Well, I'm at the point on my lwb truck, that I'm ready for tires. I'm going to be using 15 x 8 truck rallies and the truck is stock height. I'm not completely sure on what size to get. I've read on here that 255/70R 15 seems to be the choice. I would like to see some pictures of these on trucks.

Re: Tire Pictures needed

I think a 275/60 out back looks badass myself. Gives it a tough guy manly look...a don't mess with me immage... and no rubbing.
However, IMO, (and some tire companies) a 275 is a bit wide for an 8 inch rim... plenty have done it with no problems though. The tread section on a 275 is about 10 inches wide, and when you start getting tires wider than the rim, you get a baloon effect, and also you'll have to run a lower PSI to keep the tread contact even.

Re: Tire Pictures needed

For comparison, here's some 295/50/15's. Stock height. 15x10's, don't rub at all.

Re: Tire Pictures needed

thanks guys......I think I'll go with the 255/70R 15. Just need a few pictures to see. Those 10's look great, but I only have 8" rims all around......

Re: Tire Pictures needed

Are you lowering?Do you want all 4 matched sizes for rotation? That would narrow the pictures down to what you`re looking for.I gathered you do want the same size all around.

Re: Tire Pictures needed

Here's mine with 255/70's on the back...I like them but I think 275's would be better. The fronts have 225/70's on them and they are way too small for the truck. I will change over all four soon.

Re: Tire Pictures needed

Here's a thread with about 6 pages or so of tire and wheel/stance photos.
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=143835
And here's mine when it still had 275/60s on all four corners.
