same frames
Is a '72 2wd short bed frame the SAME as a 2wd Blazer Frame? Buildin' somethin' cool if so!

Nope, besides the blazer being a shorter wheel base tghere is a couple other places different.

what else is different? i could section the frame so I can keep the rear coil suspension. next question: can you take a 4wd frame and take a 2wd short bed truck frame and convert a 4wd to 2wd blazer? I have a 72 swb truck and a 72 4WD blazer I want a 2wd blazer

Couldnt you add a front member from a 73-87? Then lower your rear springs? Just a thought...

I've got a buddy who has done this several times.
He uses the front crossmember off of the 2wd donor and drill the holes in the frame. You have to use the 2wd steering box too. In the back, he uses a flip kit to put the axle atop the springs and lower it at the same time, keeping the leafs.
