Front Body Mount Question

This might be a stupid question but …. how the heck do you get the front body mount out!

I am replacing the front floor and front floor support and I can not get the body mount bolt out. A previous owner had obviously put an impact wrench on the nut and had pulled the bolt head through the floor and the support plate under it. It was (and still is) stuck in the “tube” inside of the front floor support. I have already removed the floor and the support plate. What am I missing? Is there something else holding it? Any help/ideas would be appreciated.

Also, if anyone has a picture of how the support plate should look, it would help as well.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Front Body Mount Question

Is that the head of the bolt we can see stuck in the tube? Did you break the nut loose? Get under it with a fat punch and a BFH... or use an air impact hammer to knock the bolt out.

Re: Front Body Mount Question

Yepper that is the head of the bolt. The nut came off and the lower rubber is off. The BFH did not budge it. I think I will have to cut it out. So there is nothing else holding it? Just one nut on the bottom and that is it?

Re: Front Body Mount Question

Just got done doing my drivers side floorboards and everything else in that area. I can't think of anything else that's holding it. Actually that area is the only area that I had to use my torch in. Couldn't get any tool in there to cut it! Jim
