My new ride

I just bought this 1972 GMC as a daily driver for work, only $700. Tuned it up and changed all the fluids runs great, has a olds 402, PS, PDB, pioneer cd player. I think I got a hell of a deal, had to fix a rear brake line trans wouldn't shift into gear the odd time but cleared up after oil and filter change and steering box leaks slightly but has nearly stopped since I put in stop leak. Truck was fixed up and painted a few years back so it's pretty decent, bought it off of a guy who thought it was worse than it was and no idea what was wrong. Truck is a little muddy, just had a big rain, will post a better daylight pic later.

I took the kids down an old prairie trail that was muddy as hell, it's like a roller coaster so the kids like it and the one intersection is raised so at 60 mph you can get about 3 feet of air for 20-30 feet of distance. We nick named the truck LIZARD.

Re: My new ride

Is it a 403 Olds or a Chevy BB 402?

Re: My new ride

sweeeet, alternate big blocks are cool. Hardly anyone can look under your hood and say "Yep, been there, done that".
The best thing about an olds 403, is an olds 455 will bolt right in it's place.
